Something strange was in the Ramsey Center air Saturday afternoon when Western Carolina, the Southern Conference's worst free-throw shooting team, couldn't miss from the foul line. Then there was WCU senior Richie Gordon, who'd fouled out of six of his last eight games, going foul-free for the first 36 minutes while giving Appalachian State fits in the paint.
