Heffley named SoCon Baseball Player of the Week

Cullowhee, NC - Ross Heffley was named the Southern Conference Baseball Player of the Week, after posting a .611 batting average, recording 11 hits in 18 at bats.

Heffley led the Cats to a 4-1 record which includes two home victories over nonconference foes Duke and East Tennessee State, and winning the league-opening series at The Citadel, 2 wins to 1. He added six walks to his team leading 17, which boasts his on-base percentage to .708  and added three stolen bases. The preseason All-American was perfect in the field with 10 put outs and 10 assists.
