The Catamounts will play for the SoCon Championship

Asheville, NC - After upsetting the North Division Champs Greensboro 82-77 Sunday evening, the Catamounts will now take on the South Division Champ Davidson,  Monday night in the 2012 Southern Conference Championship game.

The Catamounts won their first championship finals berth since 1996, also against Davidson. The Cats enter the championship game on a seven-game winning streak that placed them in the title game at 9:00 pm, live on ESPN2.

Four Cats were in double figures scoring, led by Keaton Cole and Harouna Mutombo, both with 17 points. They were joined by Trey Sumler with 16, and Preston Ross coming off the bench with 10 points.
