Western Carolina women's soccer kicked off the 2013 campaign on Aug 7th with their first preseason practice of 2013.
The Catamounts return 20 players from the 2012 squad, including five seniors and 10 juniors. The Cats also welcome 10 newcomers to the squad, nine freshmen and a sophomore transfer.

2012 (Freshman) : The first Western Carolina women's soccer player in school history to not only be named to the Southern Conference First Team as well as to the So-Con All-Freshmen Team ... Paced team with nine goals and was just one goal shy of tying for fifth for most goals in a season ... Nine goals rank her third in the Southern Conference and the most scored by a Catamount in a single season since 2005 ... Led the team with a total of 20 points and had two assists ... Played in 19 games and started 14 ... Scored two game-winning goals.
High School: Played three years at Broughton High School and made it to the third round of the state playoffs each year and was named All Conference each year ... Played her senior year at Apex.
Personal: Daughter of Richard and Robin Studnicky ... Has two brothers, TJ and Joseph.
