Western Carolina women's soccer kicked off the 2013 campaign on Aug 7th with their first preseason practice of 2013.
The Catamounts return 20 players from the 2012 squad, including five seniors and 10 juniors. The Cats also welcome 10 newcomers to the squad, nine freshmen and sophomore transfer.

2011 Sophomore: Played in all 20 matches and started eight ... Scored two goals, including the game-winner against Appalachian State that sent the Catamounts to the 2011 Southern Conference Tournament ... Also notched one assist ... Took 15 shots and had five points.
2010 Freshman: Started all 19 matches ... Led the team in goals (6), points (14) and game-winning goals (2) ... Ranked second on the team in assists (2), shots (34) and shots on goal (12) ... Had game-winning goals against Campbell and Davidson.
Prior to Western Carolina: Four-year letterwinner at Apex High School ... Helped Apex to a state championship her freshman year ... Named All-State, All-Conference and All-Region her senior year ... High school won conference championship all four years ... Helped lead club team to 2009 State Cup in 2009.
