Western Carolina women's soccer kicked off the 2013 campaign on Aug 7th with their first preseason practice of 2013.
The Catamounts return 20 players from the 2012 squad, including five seniors and 10 juniors. The Cats also welcome 10 newcomers to the squad, nine freshmen and a sophomore transfer.

2012 (Sophomore): Played in 11 games ... Scored one goal on two shots ... Had two points.
2011 (Freshman): Played in 19 matches and started eight ... Logged one assist against UNC Asheville ... Had eight shots.
High School: Has been an impact player for both Chiles High and the Leg-A-Z Hotshots, and was a member of the ODP State Pool and Regional Team from 2007-2009 ... Made varsity as a freshman, earning Rookie of the Year and All Big Bend Honorable Mention awards ... As a sophomore, she made the All Big Bend 2nd Team, netting 5 goals and 18 assists on the season ... Her junior year, Christine made All Big Bend 1st Team and won the Team Midfield MVP Award. She helped guide her team to Regional Quarterfinalists, Regional Finalists, and Regional Champions during her time at Chiles.
Personal: Daughter of Guy and Elizabeth Cockrell ... Has two brothers- Ben (20) and Nick (16) ... Involved in several extracurricular activities including Key Club, STAND- fundraising for Darfur, Africa, the Little Red Riding Hood Spirit Club, and Florida Christian Athletes ... Plans on majoring in Environmental Science at WCU.
