Soccer - #12 Brittany Gendron

Western Carolina women's soccer kicked off the 2013 campaign on Aug 7th with their first preseason practice of 2013.

The Catamounts return 20 players from the 2012 squad, including five seniors and 10 juniors. The Cats also welcome 10 newcomers to the squad, nine freshmen and a sophomore transfer.

2012 (Junior): Redshirted season.

2011 (Sophomore): Played and started nine matches before an injury sidelined her for the remainder of the season ... Scored one goal, against Cincinnati forcing a two overtime tie with the Bearcats ... Had three shots.

2010 (Freshman): Named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team ... Started all 19 matches ... Scored first goal of 2010, and of her career, against Campbell ... Had a career-high three shots against Air Force ... Overall, had nine shots and three shots on goal on the season.

High School: Four-year letterwinner at Charlotte Christian School ... Named All-Conference, All-State, All-Region and MVP her senior year ... As a freshman, was the second leading scorer and first in assists on the team ... She led the team in goals her freshman through senior year.

Personal: Brittany Michelle Gendron ... Daughter of Brian and Nancy Gendron, has an older sister Danielle.
