Catamount Basketball - #5 Devin Peterson

The Catamount Basketball season tips off on November 13th in Cincinnati as the Catamounts open the season against the Bearcats at 7:00 pm on ESPN3.

To start getting folks in the mood for basketball in the middle of football season, lets take a look at this season's team. We'll start with the freshmen and move up to the seniors.

2014-15 (Freshman): Appeared in all 32 games for the Catamounts while making a pair of starts ... Scored his first career point at Alabama (11/17) ... Scored in double-figures twice during the season; his only two starts of the season ... Had 12 points against Saint Catharine (12/30) and UNCG (01/10) ... Sunk his first career 3-pointer against Chattanooga (01/08) ... Went on two hit a pair of threes in the next two games against UNCG (01/10) and ETSU (01/15) ... Dished out a career-high five assists at VMI (01/29) while matching his career-high with four rebounds ... Also had four rebounds against UNCG (01/10) ... Had six games with two or more assists including three with four or more ... Set a career-high with three steals at UNCG (01/31) and matched it at Furman (02/26) ... After averaging just 0.6 points and 0.2 rebounds per game over his first 11 career games, he finished the season averaging 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds over the final 21 games.

Prior to Western Carolina: Attended Mount Pisgah Christian School in Johns Creek, Ga. ... Missed both is freshman and sophomore seasons due to injury ... As a junior, averaged 14.7 points, 2.2 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game ... Named first team All-Region and honorable mention All-State ... The team advanced to the Sweet 16 ... As a senior, averaged 17 points, five assists, three rebounds and two steals per game ... Named first team All-Region ... Team advanced to the Sweet 16.
