Catamount Basketball - #24 Ashley Williams

The Catamount Basketball season tips off on November 13th in Cincinnati as the Catamounts open the season against the Bearcats at 7:00 pm on ESPN3. To start getting folks in the mood for basketball in the middle of football season, lets take a look at this season's team.

We'll start with the freshmen and move up to the seniors.

2014-15 (Freshman): Appeared in 16 games for the Catamounts ... Made first career appearance against Mississippi State (11/14) in the opening game of the season ... Played nine minutes against Hiwassee (11/21) while scoring three points and grabbing a pair of rebounds ... His first career points came on a 3-pointer ... Grabbed a rebound against Wright State (12/18) ... Played 11 minutes against Saint Catharine (12/30) while grabbing two rebounds, dishing out two assists, grabbing his first career steal and blocking his first career shot ... Scored three points against Furman (01/05) while hitting his first career free throw ... Played a career-high 14 minutes against UNCG (01/10) while scoring a career-high five points while going a perfect 2-2 from the field including a 3-pointer ... Played in nine Southern Conference contests.

Prior to Western Carolina: Averaged 15.8 points, 2.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game in high school ... Spent time at both the Greenfield School and Croatan High School ... As a freshman, averaged 14 points, three assists, three rebounds and 1.5 steals per game ... As a sophomore, averaged 12 points, two assists, four rebounds and one steal a game ... Named All-Conference as a sophomore as well ... As a junior, averaged 21.0 points, 3.0 assists, 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game ... Named ECC Player of the Year ... Named Carteret News Times Player of the Year ... North Carolina All-State selection ... ECC Conference Tournament MVP ... Became Croatan's first 1,000 point scorer in school history ... As a senior, averaged 16 points, 3.0 assists, six rebounds and three steals per game ... Named CPIC All-Conference ... Named to the CPIC All-Tournament Team and Tournament MVP ... Finished fourth in the 2011 North Carolina 2A Track & Field Championships in the high jump.
