Thursday, August 29, 2024, against NC State Wolfpack in
Carter-Finley Stadium, Raleigh, NC
To help pass those long summer days, and hopefully get the
Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season, and
knowledgeable of the team members, we'll continue the football countdown each
day until kickoff day.
Today we will highlight two players that wear #13, one on offense and one of defense::
#13 Santana Fleming
Position: Wide Receiver
Height: 5-10
Weight: 170Height: 5-10
Class: Redshirt Freshman
Hometown: Miami, Fla.
High School: Western HS
2023 (Freshman): Played in three of the team’s 11 games on the season, remaining eligible for a redshirt … Recorded one reception for 11 yards in his first season … Made his collegiate debut in the season-opener at Arkansas (Sept. 2) … Caught his first career pass – an 11-yard reception – in the road win at The Citadel (Sept. 30) … In WCU’s annual Spring Game, hauled in a 25-yard touchdown pass from Bennett Judy as one of two catches in the intrasquad scrimmage.
Prior to Western Carolina: Caught 51 passes for 930 yards and five touchdowns as a senior … Selected to play for Team Speed in the Under Armour All-America game played on Jan. 3, 2023 - he was the only NCAA FCS signee invited at the time of the game … Part of winning a district championship at Western High as a senior … Also played prep football at American Heritage High in Plantation, Fla. As a junior in 2021 and at Carol City High as a sophomore in 2020 … Caught 18 passes for 152 yards and two scores as a junior at AHHS … In addition to wide receiver, took snaps at corner at CCHS … Listed as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and Rivals after being ranked as high as a four-star recruit … Also runs track as a prep.
