Purple & Gold's "Catamount Player of the Game" for the Chattanooga game is freshman quarterback, Cole Gonzales.
For the second consecutive week, today's player of the game (against the UTC Mocs) is true freshman quarterback Cole Gonzales. Starting as QB for the second consecutive week, Cole led the Catamounts to an upset win over the #15 Chattanooga Mocs, The win made possible a winning record overall for the Cats in the 2022-23 season.
Cole completed 24 passes (of 38 attempts) for a total of 224 yards, connecting with 6 different receivers, and throwing 2 touchdowns. Cole also had 9 attempts rushing for a total of 17 yards.
Congratulations to Cole and the entire Catamount football team for this win, and the first winning season in quite a while.
