Game #19 - The Citadel



The Catamounts return to the road, traveling to the SC low country, to face the Citadel Bulldogs. The Cats are looking for the seasonal sweep of the Bulldogs.

The Series: In a series that started in 1977, and the Cats & Bulldogs will play in the 81st meetings between the two schools. The Cats hold a slim 44-36 win margin over the Dogs after the win in Cullowhee last Monday night. The Citadel is coming into the contest off a 19 point loss to UNCG, and are on a 3 game skid. The Cats come into the game on a 7 game win streak over the Bulldogs, having won 10 of the last 11 games in the series.

With a 2-8 SoCon record, the Bulldogs currently sit in 8th place in the standings, just a game ahead of the Catamounts. The 9-7 overall Bulldogs have conference wins over Chattanooga and Wofford, with losses to Furman, VMI, UNCG, Mercer & ETSU.

The Bulldogs currently lead the SoCon in offensive scoring, averaging 87.9 points per game, while giving up 75.9 ppg or last place in the SoCon. The Bulldogs also lead the league in three-point shooting, hitting 41.6% of their attempts. The Bulldogs have 4 players averaging double-digit scoring, led by Hayden Brown with 21 points, followed by Kaiden Rice with 18.9 ppg, Fletcher Abee hitting 11.8 ppg and 3 Tyler Moffe with 10 ppg.
