Waynesville, N.C - Western Carolina freshman Sofie Kvarnstrom matched the Great Smokies Intercollegiate individual record on Tuesday en route to winning the individual medalist honors by three-strokes over the first round leader, Univ. of Louisiana-Monroe freshman Jennifer Park. Kvarnstrom's two-day total of 135 is the second-best in tournament history, just one stroke in arrears of Hovda's stellar 134 turned in back in 2005.
