WCU Baseball: @ Kennesaw State (Game #2)





The #23 ranked Catamounts visit Kennesaw, Ga. on Wednesday for the return trip of a home and home series with Kennesaw State this season. The Owls are coming off a series sweep of ASun foe Bellarmine and are now 10-5 overall on the season.

The Series: The Cats are 13-8 overall vs. the Owls, picked up a series win in Cullowhee a week ago, breaking a 4 game skid against the Owls.  The series started back in 2006.

The Owls are coming off a three-game series sweep of ASUN foe Bellarmine since dropping last Wednesday's game to the Catamounts. 

The Owls were picked 7th in the 9 team ASun preseason poll, with two players named to the all-conference team, 1B - Justin Russell, & OF - Terence Norman.  Center fielder for the Kennesaw State baseball team Alex Carballo capped a week to remember by being named the ASUN Player of the Week. . The Owls won three total games while Carballo hit for .357 average, a .500 on-base percentage and a .643 slugging percentage in the four games this week.
