SoCon Basketball - Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2017




It was a dreadful night for the SoCon on Tuesday, of the 5 games scheduled, the conference only picked up 1 win out of a schedule where at least 3 or 4 of the games were winnable.  The Big South went 2-0 against the SoCon reversing Sunday's losses. 




ETSU 81 - Detroit Mercy 73
IN the SoCon only win on Tuesday, the Bucs' Desonta Bradford scored 21 points on as East Tennessee State led for the final 12 minutes in an 81-73 win over Detroit Mercy.

The Citadel 65 - Ohio State 94
The Buckeyes ran past the Bulldogs on Tuesday, 65-94. The Citadel's Kaiden Rice had 14 points off the bench for the Bulldogs.

High Point 72 - Western Carolina 61
The Panther's Andre Fox and Jahaad Proctor scored 16 points apiece to led High Point past Western Carolina,  72-61.  Mile Amius led the Cats with 13 points.

UNCA 67 - UNCG 60
Asheville's  MaCio Teague scored 25 points to lead the Bulldogs past  UNCG. 67-60. Asheville held the Spartans scoreless over the final five minutes in the win.  Marvin Smith led the Spartans with 13 points.

Mercer 79 - Alabama 80
Demetre Rivers led Mercer with 24 points and Ria'n Holland contributed 21. Holland just missed a 25-footer at the buzzer that could have won it for Mercer after the Tide let a six-point lead drop to 1 in the final 11 seconds.
