Only 3 out-of-conference games were scheduled for Saturday, and the SoCon looked good in all three, but finished the day with a 2-1 record, almost taking out the #10 team in the nation.
UNCG 81 - NC State 76
The Spartans surprised NC State with a 5 point victory over the Wolfpack, the first win ever over State for the Spartans. Francis Alonso scored 17 to lead the Spartans.
Point 66 - The Citadel 110
The Bulldogs rolled over NAIA Point University. Tyonn Stuckey had 21 points,5 rebounds and 5 assists for the Bulldogs, followed by Alex Reed with 18 points.ETSU 66 - Xavier 68
The Bucs lead #10 Xavier most of the game, leading at one time by 22 points in the second half. However, the Musketeers rallied in the second half to take the lead with 10 seconds remaining in the game.
