It's week five in the SoCon, and time to make this week's football picks. On the schedule, we have a full slate of SoCon games (4) as well as one out of conference contest.

Chattanooga at East Tennessee State - 12:00 noon - watch on SoCon Digital Network
The Mocs travel to Johnson City to play the Bucs in the renewal of the rivalry between the two Tennessee schools. Unfortunately for the Bucs, they receive another dose of reality from the Mocs as a drop to 1-2 in SoCon games. Mocs win by 35 points.
Mercer at VMI - 3:00 pm - watch on ESPN3
The Bears travel to Lexington in hopes of repeating their 2014 victory over the Keydets and picking up their first conference win of the season. However, the Keydets are coming off back-to-back wins and are flying high in hopes of a winning season. Look for the Keydets to win by 3 points.
Wofford at Samford - 3:00 pm - watch on ESPN3
The Terriers travel to Birmingham looking to remain undefeated in SoCon play. The potent offense of the home standing Bulldogs are too much for Wofford's defense. We're looking for a 21 point win by the Bulldogs.
Kennesaw State at Furman - 3:00 pm - watch on ESPN3
Kennesaw State travels to Greenville to meet the winless Paladins. We're looking for a hard fought game and ultimately the Paladins prevail picking up their first win of the season. Paladins win by 3 points.
The Citadel at Western Carolina - 3:30 pm - watch on ESP3
It's Cats and Dogs on Saturday in Cullowhee, as the Cats defend their home winning streak against the Bulldogs. After a hard fought back and forth battle, the Cats come out on top with a 14 point win.
