Only two games on Monday in the SoCon, both Western and Wofford played at home.
Eastern Washington at Western Carolina
The Catamount's Rhett Harrelson scored a season-high 25 points to lead Western Carolina to a 97-80 win over Eastern Washington on Monday night in a Gotham Classic game. Torrion Brummitt and Justin Browning added 18 points apiece, while Mike Brown put up 17 points for the Cats. Eastern Washington pulled out to a 42-35 lead just 17 seconds into the second half, but a 10 point run put the Cats up three with 17 minutes to play. EWU's Austin McBroom scored 29 and Von Hofe finished with a career-high 27 points for the Eagles.
Coastal Carolina at Wofford
Coastal's Shivaughn Wiggins scored 14 points to lead the Chanticleers past Wofford, 71-63 on Monday night. Coastal Carolina built a 14-point halftime lead but watched it dwindle to three with just under five minutes, The Chanticleers made 9 of 14 from the free throw line to hang on. Eric Garcia led Wofford with 18 points.
