56 Days 'till Kickoff - #56 Lee Pattillo

It's now 56 days until kickoff of Catamount football at the Raymond James Stadium, home of the University of South Florida Bullson August 30th in in Tampa, FL. 

To help pass those long summer days until football season starts, and hopefully get the Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season, we'll continue the 100 day football countdown each day until kickoff day.

2013 (Redshirt Freshman): Saw action in all 12 games during the season, mostly on special teams and as a reserve linebacker on defense ... Credited with seven total tackles including three solo stops ... Made his WCU debut in the season-opener at Middle Tennessee State ... Recorded first career tackle for the Purple & Gold against ACC-foe, Virginia Tech ... Tallied a career-high four stops against The Citadel ... Named to the 2013-14 Southern Conference Honor Roll ... Missed action in spring drills for precautionary reasons after off-season surgery.

2012 (Freshman): Transferred to Western Carolina during the summer of 2013.

Prior to Western Carolina: Was as a preferred walk-on with North Carolina State out of high school ... Was an anchor for the Maroon Devils defense at Swain County High ... Was named to the NC Prep All-State 1-A team on the defensive side at linebacker after leading the 2011 squad in tackles, averaging a team-high 8.0 tackles per game.

Personal: Is the son of Norma and Sam Pattillo ... Father was the former head football coach at Swain County High who won 31 games in three seasons and was named the WNC Coach of the Year, as well as the Smoky Mountain Conference Coach of the Year ... Has an older brother, Rob, and a sister Brette.
