Catamount Softball named to All-Academic Team

Six members of the Western Carolina Softball Team were named 2012-13 NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes, and the 2012-13 Catamount Softball Team was named to the 2012-13 National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Academic Team.  

The Catamounts were the only SoCon team to be so honored, as they are ranked 43rd overall with a team GPA of 3.341.

The Cats named All-America Scholar Athletes are Haley Pace with a 4.0 GPA sophomore Taylor Sigmon with a 3.964, senior Makenzi McAteer (3.703), junior Heather Chastain (3.656), Sarah Perrine (3.626), Amelia Griffin (3.515).
