Volleyball - #3 Nicole Ford

Catamount Volleyball is off to a great start this season, lets get to know the team a little better.

Today we'll highlight another Catamount sophomore

Freshman (2013): Appeared in all 31 games with 26 starts in 2013 ... Played in 95 of a possible 110 sets ... Started ten straight games from September 15 through October 12 ... Averaged 1.75 kills, 0.16 aces, 0.67 blocks and 2.28 points per set ... Finished third on the team in all four stat categories ... Had four double-digit kill matches ... Led the team in blocks seven times ... Had one match as kill leader ... Saw her first collegiate action against Northern Kentucky (08/24) ... Hit .400 after nine kills with three errors on 15 attempts against Saint Peter's (08/25) ... Recorded a career-high 11 kills and career-high eight digs against Campbell (09/08) ... Held a .350 hitting percentage following nine kills on 20 attempts with two errors against Mercer (09/15) ... Had five blocks, all block assists, at Winthrop (09/15) ... Had 15.5 points on 10 kills, three aces and 5 blocks assists at Chattanooga (09/22) ... Also had a career-high five assists in the match ... Tied a career-high with 11 kills against Appalachian State (10/04) ... Added two solo blocks and seven block assists, both career-highs, for a career-high 18.5 points in the match ... Had 14 points on nine kills, two solo blocks, four block assists and on service at UNCG (10/26) ... Had 12.5 points on ten kills, one ace and three block assists vs. Chattanooga (11/09).

High School: Named Big South 3A Conference Player of the Year ... Led her team with 2.6 kills per set and 2.5 digs per set in 2011 ... Paced the team in both categories in 2010 ... Team finished with 11-1 record in 2011 and won the conference championship ... Team captain in 2011 ... Played club for CJV 16s Blaze.
