Purple & Gold's Catamount Player of the Game for the Furman contest is Troy Mitchell
Troy passed for 25 of 37 attempts, for 305 yards and three touchdowns and no interceptions. He added 55 yards on the ground in 11 carried, and ran for two touchdowns to lead Western Carolina to a 48-10 win over The Paladins to snap a four-game home series losing skid to Furman.
Mitchell staked the Cats to a 14-0 first quarter lead with his two rushing scores as he completed 27 passes in the game, including scoring strikes covering 29, 36, and 21 yards, to finish the game with 360 yards in total offense and five touchdown responsibilities.
Seton Hill had 10 receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown, while Detrez Newsom had 21 carries for 184 yards
