Earl Grant was named the 23rd all-time men’s basketball head coach at College of Charleston on Sept. 2, 2014. In his second at the helm of the Cougars, Charleston is 2-2 overall, and 1-1 in Charleston. The former SoCon members were picked to finish in ninth place in the ten team Colonial Athletic Association this season, just ahead of Elon.

The Cougars have wins over SC State & Navy and a one point road loss to Davidson and a 6 point loss to Coastal Carolina on Tuesday in Charleston.  Junior guard, Canyon Barry leads the scoring for the Cougars, averaging 28 points and 3.7 rebounds,  Also scoring in double digits is sophomore guard Camerson Johnson. averaging 14 points per game and 5.3 rebounds.  Freshman forward Jarrell Brantley is leading the team in rebounds at 7.7 per game.

Overall, the Cougars are hitting 46% from the field, and 39% from 3 point range. At the free throw line, the team is shooting 68% overall.
