This week's Purple & Gold - WCU Player of the Game goes to junior quarterback Troy Mitchell. This is Mitchell's second selection this season of the Player of the Game honors.
Mitchell accounted for a total of 448 yards in the 42-27 victory over the VMI Keydets. Saturday evening in Cullowhee. In the game, the Catamounts racked up a season high of 640 total yards. Mitchell completed 32 of 42 passing attempts for a total of 339 yards and five (5) touchdowns. Karnorris Benson hauled in four of Mitchell's touchdown passes and Tyler Sexton grabbed the fifth,
In addition, Troy was the Cats second leading rusher, carrying the ball 12 times for a total of 109 yards and rushing for one (1) touchdown.
