At Butler HS: Named team captain and earned first-team All-Observer honors … Was a two-time SW 4A All-Conference selection and was named to the 2023 High School OT All-State team.

Personal: Is the son of Janette and Jack McIver ... Is the brother of current Western Carolina offensive lineman, Aaron McIver.
