A recap of Tuesday's games

Middle Georgia State 62 - Mercer 100
Jalyn McCreary and the Mercer men's basketball team played to an exciting 100-62 win for the Bibb County School District students in attendance at the game against Middle Georgia State on Tuesday morning at Hawkins Arena. Mercer University Athletics hosted an Education Day for Bibb County students to envision a path to college and have an experiential physical education learning opportunity. While McCreary shined in the scoring aspects, the team as a whole excelled in all areas. 31 assists for the Bears set a new program-record for single-game assists, beating the previous mark of 28 set against Valparaiso in 2013. Luis Hurtado Jr. recorded a team-high seven assists along with 12 points.

UNCG 58  -   #11 Arkansas 65
The UNCG men's basketball team was persistent in a Southeastern Conference (SEC) battle Tuesday night, but No. 9 Arkansas found itself on top, 65-58, in front of a sellout crowd at Bud Walton Arena. Three Spartans scored in double figures, including Donovan Atwell with 12, Dante Treacy with 11, and Kobe Langley with 10. UNCG led at the half, 26-21. This was the eighth game out of the Spartans' 10 this season that they have led at the half. The Razorbacks' 21 points was the least number of points in the first half this season. This was the lowest scoring first half for Arkansas since January 16, 2021 when it played Alabama and was down 42-19 at the half. This is also the fourth game all season that the Razorbacks were down at the half.

Milwaukee 76 - Chattanooga 88
Chattanooga improves to 6-3 on the season following the 88-76 win over Milwaukee for their fourth-straight win for the Mocs, the win snapped the Panthers five-game win streak as they fell to 7-4. The Mocs connected on 13 threes during the victory and finished 13-of-34 (38.2%). Chattanooga forced 12 Milwaukee turnovers in the first half, and outscored the Panthers 20-0 in points off turnovers in that span, and finished the game forcing 15 total turnovers, a season-best +7 in the margin. UTC posted 12 steals in the victory, the most this season and ties for the most since recording 13 steals at Tennessee Tech on November 30, 2020.

High Point 85 - Furman 82
High Point's Zach Austin converted on a pair of free throws with six seconds left and Mike Bothwell's attempt at a game-tying three-pointer fell short as the Panthers edged the Paladins 85-82 in non-conference men's basketball action on Tuesday evening at Timmons Arena. The loss halted Furman's four-game winning streak and dropped the Paladins to 6-3, while High Point won its fifth in a row to up its record to 8-1. Bothwell, who totaled 20 points in the opening half, paced the Paladins with a season-high 29 points and seven rebounds, while Garrett Hien netted 15 and Pegues contributed 12.

Coastal Carolina 61 - Wofford 71
Down eight points with eight minutes to play in the second half, the Wofford College men's basketball team went on a 22-4 run to end the game for a 71-61 victory over Coastal Carolina on Tuesday night at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. An 8-0 run that spanned the first and second halves gave Wofford a 34-32 lead after the opening possession of the second half. Coastal Carolina used a 12-0 run to take a 52-44 advantage, but Wofford responded with a 12-0 run as well for a 61-57 lead. Over the last four minutes, the Terriers had a 10-4 advantage to secure the win.
