Meet the Basketball Cats: Marvin Price

Welcome to our annual meet the Catamount Men's Basketball Team.

During the countdown, we'll highlight each player on the official roster, starting with the freshmen, then moving up class by class, countdown the days until "Tip-Off". 

It's 26 days until the Cats tip off the season on November 9th against the Bowling Green Falcons in the Ramsey Center.

Today, we meet another junior:

Prior to Western Carolina:  Price arrives in Cullowhee following a highly successful sophomore season that saw him earn third-team National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-America honors after leading the Bruins to a 20-5 overall record and an appearance in the NJCAA national tournament. Price earned first-team All-Region 18 and All-Scenic West Conference honors as he averaged 12.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. He came through in the clutch with several game-winning or overtime-forcing shots, finishing with 14 games in double figures with two double-doubles. As a freshman in 2019-20, Price played in seven games at Ohio University for the Bobcats before transferring mid-season.

High School: Played his senior and sophomore seasons at Patterson High School, leading the Clippers to a pair of Baltimore City championships along with two regional titles and two MPSSAA state titles…Averaged 21.4 points and 10.3 rebounds to earn All-Metro honors as a senior…Also earned All-Metro honors at Patterson as a sophomore…Played at Huntington Prep in Huntington, W.Va. as a junior and Dematha Catholic as a freshman
