One of the front-runners for the SoCon Defensive Player of the Year, redshirt sophomore linebacker Daniel Riddle, was named the Southern Conference's Defensive Player of the Week for games played the week of Nov. 21.

Riddle finished the VMI game with 15 tackles and a pass break-up.

Riddle recorded five solo stops and was credited with 10 assists. The sophomore added a pass break-up in the win as WCU limited the Keydets to just seven points in the decisive second half.

Riddle has had double-digit tackles in all but two games this season and leads the Southern Conference with 129 tackles.

Purple & Gold congratulates Daniel for his selection.
