Cats break shot blocking record

If you've been thinking the Cats have blocked a lot of shot this season, you're right.

Junior forward Kenneth Hall has led the way this season with a total of 54 blocks himself, but Hall has had help.  Both the 2000-01 & 2004-05 teams held the old WCU single season shot blocking record of 137 blocks in a season.  But as I said, Kenneth Hall has had some help from his team-mates, help to the tune of 88 additional blocks.

Thats right, the new WCU record now sits at 142 blocks, coming after the 9 blocked shots against The Citadel on Saturday.  But that record will not stand long, as the Catamounts still have two regular season games, and at least one Southern Conference tournament game remaining on their schedule.

With Kenneth Hall leading the way, the new single season shot blocking record will be another Catamount "Point of Pride"
