WBB: Cats win on the road

Western Carolina women's basketball's picked up a 62-49 road win over the North Carolina Central University Lady Eagles at McDougald/McLendon Gymnasium in Durham.  Sophomore Rena Wakama put up a career-high 19 points to lead all scores, hitting 10 of 12 free throws.

After leading by only 2 points at the half, the Catamounts  exploded on the Eagles in the second half, going on a 11-0 run to build a 36-23 lead and holding the Lady Eagles scoreless for the first three minutes of the second half.  Kaila'Shea Menendez, scored 11 of her total 13 points in the second half with Makensey Campbell scoring 12 points and had a pair of blocks in the game.
