“I have to be honest, you could almost put Western Carolina, College of Charleston, The Citadel and Elon into a big giant novelty top-hat and pull out your conference champion. These guys are all very close at the top and will beat each other up ad nauseam. No doubt. But they’ll also likely put some big cuts and bruises on local Top Six Conference monsters as well. I’m giving WCU the edge here because of the large amount of innings they’ll return on the mound from the 2nd best staff in the SoCon. But again, it’s nearly splitting hairs. I mean, how can you pick against the big game ability of CofC? Or the traditional toughness of The Citadel? Or the wicked power-sticks of Elon? This’ll be fun. It always is.”
