While this is an athletic site, we certainly can't ignore academics. Student athletes select a college not only on athletics, but it's academic reputation as well. The good news for WCU is that the 2010 US News & World Report "Best Colleges" guidebook released Tuesday, included WCU in it's Top 10 position in the "Top Public Schools: Regional Universities (South)" category for the second straight year.
The U.S. News & World Report also ranks Western Carolina third among Southern universities whose graduates had the least amount of debt load in 2009.
