It's now 20 days until the kickoff of Catamount football on Saturday, August 30, 2025, against the Gardner-Webb Runnin' Bulldogs in E.J. Whitmire Stadium, Cullowhee, NC.
To help pass those long summer days and get the Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season and more knowledgeable of the team members, we'll continue the football countdown each day until kickoff day.
Today, we will highlight two players who wear #20, one on offense and one on defense:

2024 (Redshirt Sophomore): He was not enrolled at WCU in the fall semester, returning to campus in the spring, where he participated in spring drills ... Rushed 10 times for 66 yards in WCU's annual Spring Game.
2023 (Redshirt Freshman): Saw action in nine games, each coming as a reserve in the offensive backfield … Recorded 19 rushes for 101 yards while hauling in five passes for 44 receiving yards … Matched his previous career best with five rushes for 21 yards in the home win over Charleston Southern (Sept. 23) … Rushed a career-high 11 times for a career-best 65 yards in the road win at Wofford (Nov. 4), adding a career-high three receptions for 22 yards … Named to the 2023 Southern Conference All-Freshman team … Rushed once and caught two passes in WCU’s annual Spring Game.
2022 (Freshman): Played in four games as a true freshman, remaining eligible for a redshirt … Rushed eight times for 13 yards on the season … Made his WCU debut in the home win over Presbyterian (Sept. 17), rushing once for a seven-yard gain … Posted a career-high five rushes at Mercer (Oct. 8) … Rushed 11 times for 64 yards and a two-yard touchdown run, adding three catches for 28 yards out of the backfield in WCU’s annual Spring Game … Tacked on a two-point conversion on the ground for his squad.
Before Western Carolina: Three-year varsity letter winner for head coach Chris Medlin ... Rushed for 1,820 yards on 364 career carries, scoring 23 rushing touchdowns ... Added 81 receptions for 1,017 career receiving yards with 11 scores ... Posted 89 total tackles including 53 solo hits on defense with one interception coming as a senior ... Named All-County as a junior, adding all-conference and All-State honors as a senior ... Also played basketball as a prep, earning all-conference plaudits.
