The Demon Deacons are coming off a 6-16 season in Steve Forbes's first year as head coach, WF was 5-6 at home and 15 in the ACC. The 2021-22 Demon Deacon squad features eight newcomers, four transfers, and four true freshmen.
Transfers: Graduate forward Khadim Sy (Ole Miss); Graduate center Dallas Walton (Colorado); Graduate guard Alondes Williams (Oklahoma); Junior forward Jake LaRavia (Indiana State) - All three grad transfers bring postseason experience.
Four Demon Deacons scored in double figures as the Wake Forest men's basketball team opened the 2021-22 season with a 59 victory over William & Mary on Wednesday night. Guard Alondes Williams led the Deacs in scoring with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field., he tallied three assists and three steals in his Demon Deacon debut. Junior forward Jake LaRavia scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting and grabbed four steals.
