It's now 8 days until the kickoff of Catamount football on Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, September 1, 2018, against the Newberry College Wolves, in Cullowhee.
For the season's kick-off game, the Cats will host a "White Out" in E.J. Whitmire Stadium as the Cats sport their all-white look, white Adidas jerseys over white pants; and for the fourth straight year, a post-game fireworks extravaganza.
To help pass those long summer days, and hopefully get the Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season, and knowledgeable of the team members, we'll continue the 100-day football countdown each day until kickoff day.

Class: Freshman
Hometown: Mt. Airy, Ga.
High School: Habersham Central HS
Prior to Western Carolina: Dual-threat QB that is listed as a three-star recruit by both Rivals and 247Sports ... Named Georgia 8-AAAAAA All-Region at QB ... Converted to QB prior to his senior prep season after playing mostly as a wide receiver despite playing the position growing up ... Threw for nearly 2,500 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 800 yards and 13 TDs on the ground as a senior, averaging 329.5 yards per game in his final year as a prep ... High school coach was Benji Harrison.
