Welcome to Purple & Gold's Preseason 2016 SoCon Football Power Rankings.Just to refresh your memory, the final 2015 power rankings ended with Chattanooga in the #1 position, followed by The Citadel at #2, and Western Carolina holding down the #3 position.
The Cats were followed by Samford in #4 and Wofford as #5. In the lower third, Mercer came in at #6, Furman at #7 and VMI was #8.
