Purple & Gold's Catamount Player of the Game for Week #5 is Detrez Newsome.
Newsome again was the rushing workhorse for Western, with a career high of 189 yards in 25 carries, and two touchdowns. In addition to the rushing yards, he had 3 kick returns for a total of 48 yards.
Honorable Mention - It was difficult selection process this week, as several other Catamounts had Player of the Game performances. Karnorris Benson had seven receptions for 149 yards, Trey Morgan had two interceptions, true freshman Logan Harward had two field goals, one a personal career best, 46 yards, and the second, 45 yards, and Daniel Riddle with a game high 18 tackles.
