Homewood, AL - The
Catamounts opened the
SoCon season on the road with a win over the
Samford Bulldogs, 75-71. The
Cats were paced by 4 four players in double digit scoring, led by
Harouna Mutombo (18 points),
Brando Boggs (17 points),
Trey Sumler and
Keaton Cole with 15 points each. Bench points were the big difference in the game, as the bench put up 32 points for the
Cats and only 17 for Samford. The
Cats return to the Ramsey Center to play Greensboro as part of a
Catamount double header on Saturday
