T&F: Van Pelt Receives SoCon Honors

Catamount junior Jamie Van Pelt was named the Southern Conference Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week. The Florida native launched a distance of 160'8" in the discus and followed up with a hammer toss of 175'11" during the Tiger Track Classic in Auburn, Ala.   Jamie currently ranks first in the conference in the discus and is top five in the hammer and javelin.
