The Catamounts took game one by a score of 7-1 in Sunday's double header, to secure the series win over Davidson. However, the Cats fell in the second game 3-0, in 10 innings. The Cats never trailed in the first game, getting 7 runs off 14 hits. In the second game of the day, the two teams battled to scoreless deadlock through the top of the 10th inning. Davidson's Kelly Myers hit a three-run, walk off home run in the bottom of the 10th to lift the Wildcats to a 3-0 win in the nightcap, snapping WCU's 15-game winning streak in the head-to-head series.
