The Cats' trip up to the Allstate Arena on Tuesday resulted in the second win over a Big South team in as many seasons. The Cats traveled to Louisville’s Freedom Hall last season for their first ever win over a Big South team.
In Tuesday’s game, Harouna Mutombo lead the scoring for both teams with a game high of 17 points, while freshman Brandon Boggs posted his first career double-digit scoring outing. The Cats opened the second half with an 11-to-2 run that saw the Cats build a 21 point second half lead.
The Catamounts outrebounded the Blue Deamon’s 48-34, and forced 12 turnovers.
