Week #6 is now in the books, here's how the games played out.....

Western Carolina at Wofford

Football Defeats WCU 35-28 In Overtime
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – In yet another close contest for the Wofford College football team, the Terriers earned a 35-28 overtime win over Western Carolina on Saturday afternoon at Gibbs Stadium. The Catamounts tied the game at 28 with three minutes remaining. Wofford scored a touchdown to open overtime and then an interception in the end zone secured the win for the Terriers.

Samford at VMI 
No. 20 Football Earns SoCon Road Win At VMI, 26-7
LEXINGTON, Va. – The 20th-ranked Samford football picked up its first road win of the 2017 season with a 26-7 Southern Conference victory at VMI Saturday afternoon at Foster Stadium.

Defense Shines as Mercer Upends #17 The Citadel
CHARLESTON, S.C. – Mercer forced four turnovers and controlled the ball for 33 minutes en route to a 24-14 upset win over No. 17 (STATS/Coaches) The Citadel at Johnson Hagood Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Bears' win was their second over a nationally-ranked program since returning to the gridiron in 2013 and first against The Citadel (3-2, 1-2 Southern Conference) in the modern era.

ETSU defense shines in 16-3 win over Robert Morris
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 7, 2017) – Sacking Robert Morris quarterback Jimmy Walker eight times and forcing three turnovers by the Colonials, the ETSU football team’s defensive unit powered the Buccaneers’ effort Saturday afternoon and treated a sold out William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium to a 16-3 Homecoming win.

Furman at Chattanooga
Furman Rolls Past Chattanooga, 41-17
CHATTANOOGA, TENN. -- Furman rushed for 290 yards and quarterback P.J. Blazejowski threw three touchdown passes to power the Paladins to a 41-17 victory over Southern Conference foe Chattanooga on Saturday afternoon at Finley Stadium. The victory improved the Paladins to 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the SoCon. Chattanooga dropped to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in league play
