The Pitt Panthers of the ACC will enter Wednesday's game coming off a 94-69 victory over Davidson in the Gotham Classic at the Madison Square Garden. Davidson led 29-23 when Pittsburgh went on a 23-4 run to take control. If you'll remember, the Wildcats were 87-54 winners over the Catamounts in Western's first game of the Gotham Classic.
Pitt is averaging 86 points per game on 50% field goal scooting. while holding opponents to only 62 points. The Panthers are averaging 40% from three-point range, and hitting a team average 79% at the free throw line. Individually, junior forward Michael Young (6-9,235) lead the Panthers in scoring with 18 points per game, followed by junior forward Jamel Artis (6-7, 235) with 14 points and senior guard James Robinson (6-3, 198) with 11 ppg.
