It's now 24 days until kickoff of Catamount football against the Mars Hill University Lions in E.J.Whitmire Stadium on September 5th in Cullowhee.
To help pass those long summer days until football season officially starts, and to hopefully get the Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season, we'll continue the 100 day football countdown each day until kickoff day arrives.

2014 (Freshman): Redshirted.
Prior to Western Carolina: Was a two-time All-Conference wide receiver, recording 75 catches for 1351 yards and 16 touchdowns over final two seasons ... Also added 770 return yards and two touchdowns for the Trojans ... Recorded 2,121 total yards and 18 TD's over junior and senior seasons ... Was also a two-time All-conference centerfielder in baseball ... Earned the Olympic High School Athlete of the Year Award ... High school coach was Barry Shuford.
Personal: Full name is Darius Evan Means ... Is the son of Wallace and Dee Means ... Father played collegiate football at North Carolina A&T State University.

Credited with nine career sacks and one interception coming as a senior ... Was denoted as his team’s most improved player as a junior ... High school coach was Brian Hales ... Also played basketball as a prep, averaging 10 points and eight rebounds per game as a junior ... Also played the drums in jazz band.
Personal: Full name is JaQueis Marquis Gibbs, but goes by Jay ... Is the son of Keionda Sanders ... Has five siblings including three brothers Devin, Bookie, and Savion, and sisters Aija and Analya.
