Softball Sweeps Samford

Cullowhee, N.C. - The Softball Catamounts earn a series sweep of the Samford Bulldogs on Sunday in Cullowhee. The 4-3victory enabled the Cats to win their second conference series sweep of the season.

Erin Foster completes the regular season leading the SoCon in homeruns, and she needs just three to tie the Western Carolina school record for homeruns in a season.   With the three wins this weekend, the Cats earned the sixth seed in the SoCon Softball Tournament. The Cats face Charleston at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Boone, N.C.
