WCU Player of the Game (vs.The Citadel) Desmond Reid

Purple & Gold's "Catamount Player of the Game" for The Citadel game on September 30th in Charleston, SC, is sophomore running back Desmond Reid, for the third time this season. 

The Catamount Player of the Game, Desmond Reid eclipsed the 100-yard rushing mark for the seventh time in his career, with 167 yards rushing, and five (5) rushing touchdowns, to set a new WCU record for touchdowns in a half, the SoCon record for touchdowns in a half, and the WCU school record for touchdowns in a game against The Citadel Bulldogs.  Reid also had three pass receptions for a total of 28 yards, bringing his total yardage to 195 yards.
