WCU on the 100th Anniversary Teams



As the Southern Conference wraps up the celebration of its first 100 years of history, the league has named its 100th-anniversary teams. While the Catamounts have only been in the SoCon for over 45 years, Catamount players have made their mark in the conference.

Western Carolina, a SoCon member since 1976, placed 65 former athletic greats on the teams, which encompass the 18 sports the league currently sponsors. WCU Track & Field led the way with 31 selections to the league’s 100th Anniversary squads, and football was next with 12.
