Purple & Gold 's  "WCU Player of the Game" is Mason Faulkner

Redshirt senior guard Mason Faulkner hit the winning three-point shot in overtime with 2 seconds on the clock, to seal the win for the Catamounts. Faulkner scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Catamounts past the upset-minded Golden Eagles.  Mason completed 7 for 13 from the floor and hitting 4 of 6 three-point attempts and made 5 of 7 from the charity stripe. He pulled down 9 rebounds and had 6 assists and 1 steal. The win takes the Cats to 5-1 on the season.
