#11 Jaylin Young








We now know that Western will play both Liberty and Eastern Kentucky in November. Since Gardner-Webb has decided not to play in the fall, we are not sure if we will have a third game, but we will post it if one is announced.

We will continue our countdown as if the season were to start Sept. 3rd.

Today, we'll highlight a wide receiver:

2019 (Freshman): Played in eight games on the season with a pair of starts at wide receiver … Made his collegiate debut against North Greenville (Sept. 14) … Finished the season with 11 receptions for 160 yards and two touchdowns … His first career reception came on a three-yard touchdown strike at The Citadel (Oct. 12) … Hauled in a career-long 69-yard touchdown pass at Wofford (Oct. 19), coming on just his third career catch … Recorded a career-best three passes against ETSU (Nov. 9).

Prior to Western Carolina: Two-year varsity letter winner at wide receiver, transferring from Hallandale Magnet HS to Miami Central High … Caught 31 passes for 476 yards and five touchdowns as a senior finishing with 34 points scored … Played 7v7 with the South Florida Express, hauling in 10 TD passes in winning the adidas 7-on-7 National Championship … Also ran track as a prep ... High school coach was Roland Smith.
