Prior to Western Carolina: Four-year varsity letter winner including three seasons at Newton-Conover HS, finishing his career at Hunter Huss HS … Named 2018 All-Gazette All-Purpose Player of the Year as a senior, catching 32 passes for 704 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense with 73 tackles and 10 interceptions on defense, returning one for a TD … Added three kickoff returns for scores as a senior … Three-time all-conference selection and was a two-time conference defensive player of the year as a sophomore and junior … Finished his career with 2,338 receiving yards on 143 catches including 28 for TDs, while adding 264 career tackles and 392 return yards … Four-sport athlete as a prep including football, basketball, wrestling, and track & field ...
